Hey there, I'm Stephanie; the face behind the artwork and brand you're looking at. Let me start by saying, "Thank you." Really for just being here and taking an interest in the work and even my story.
Trying to come up with things to say about ones self is really an awkward and challenging task. Let's see how this goes.
The most important part of life is being a mom to my two kids and a wife to my amazing husband. Watching them grow into bright, curious kids is one of the most rewarding gifts I've experienced. Chasing my dreams has never been more important than now. These little eyes get to watch mom do what she is extremely passionate about and they will know they can do the same.
I lost my mother 3 years ago, right before my son was born. I brought home a few live plants which started my obsession with house plants. Which I think everyone started obsessing about that time, so i just joined in the fun. Now my home if full of them! Propagations everywhere. I think the curiosity that makes me an artist is also what makes me love plants. Testing out techniques and seeing what will grow from them. I love it and I'm proud when I see life grow from my hard work.
I took to watercolor because oils were toxic and I didn't trust my animals not to get into them, which would get them all over the house. So i picked up watercolors that I has from college and tried my hand at figuring them out. As you can see, I kind of feel in love with them. What was truly amazing.. the canvases were so much smaller!! When working in oils I loved working big. For big art you need a lot of space to story it. Watercolors? You just need a box or a binder. It was game changing. Im sitting here with my inventory of over 300 paintings in a long narrow box; all organized and labeled. Its amazing. I do miss oils and hope to get back into them soon now that I have an exterior studio. So we'll see.

I'm a silly, experiment loving, mom that wakes up for the coffee and beautiful sunlight. Throw on some lil wayne or def punk and lets have a good time. Most people don't like to be stuck in their head for too long, but me? I like it in there. I have a good time. So follow along and let make life beautiful!
